Notes and Canada-Specific Details
1. Program Nature
This is not a simple exhibition visit or travel-support program. It is an overseas buyer invitation program for practical export consultations with Korean SMEs. Participating buyers are expected to attend the scheduled meetings in good faith and cooperate with post-meeting feedback checks.
2. Korea Time and Canada Time
The event is operated based on Korea Standard Time (KST). Vancouver reference dates are provided only to help Canadian buyers review travel and internal approval schedules. Actual flight, accommodation, and meeting schedules will be finalized after approval and organizer/operator guidance.
3. Scope of Support
Under the standard notice, support includes partial round-trip airfare, accommodation, shuttle bus, one dedicated interpreter per company, and a voucher for a designated tourism program. For North America, airfare support is interpreted as a fixed USD 500 post-event reimbursement per company.
4. Buyer-Borne Costs
The buyer may be responsible for airfare exceeding the USD 500 support amount, personal expenses, costs for additional participants, accommodation/breakfast/transportation outside the supported schedule, and individual airport transfer after check-out on Oct. 31.
5. Supporting Documents and Sensitive Information
Business registration or company registration documents, business licence or registry records, company profile, website/online mall/SNS information, and alternative documents related to import history or business capacity may be requested. If documents contain sensitive information such as customer names, prices, or bank details, a redacted copy may be considered first; final acceptance is subject to organizer/operator review criteria.
6. No Purchase or Contract Obligation
Participation itself does not obligate the buyer to purchase, sign a contract, or execute an MOU. However, buyers are expected to participate in business meetings in good faith and cooperate with post-meeting feedback checks.
7. Role of GBC Vancouver
GBC Vancouver supports application intake in Canada, preliminary information checks, communication, document organization, and recommendation. Final invitation, approval, and travel/accommodation support are determined by the organizer/operator.
